The internet is at once the point of convergence and the driving force behind most of the changes and innovations in the DigiWorld.

The convergence of all IP streams and the host of current uses of the web give way to a number of questions over how the principles on which the network of networks was based will evolve. The scale of the internet is changing to an unprecedented degree, with major consequences on the technologies being employed
The internet is also the source of deep-seated changes in behaviour, involving a multitude of services well beyond classic uses on the computer.

If these various prospects are creating new opportunities, they are also forcing all the market players to alter their business models now come under pressure (financing, regulation, privacy) .
